Good morning and welcome to the brand new AFLC Youth Adults Blog. My name is Naomi and I am pumped to be sitting here sipping my coffee and writing on this blog. A little about me and my background, I was born in Minnesota, grew up in Southern California and somehow ended back in Minnesota. When asked why a California girl is in Minnesota my reply is jokingly, "I don't know," but I truly believe in the Lord leading me to be where I am, even if it has meant enduring Winter, snow and freezing temps. After high school I attended AFLBS, through which I made great life long friendships and am now blessed to be the Youth Ministries Associate here at the AFLC. The Lord has given me a passion for youth and a job where I get to utilize that passion to his glory. I am also blessed to work with the youth at my Church youth group. I went back to school this year and am currently attending Normandale and pursuing a Graphic Design Degree.
In the past few years the Lord has been growing a desire in my heart to minister to a second age set, my peers: Young Adults. A life verse for me, 1 John 5:13 says "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." I know I have eternal life and I want others to know it and find in Christ too! To say I am thrilled to be a part of the team of authors writing for this blog is an understatement. I cannot wait to see how the Lord will use us through this blog.
So get to know us! Read the blog. Let us get to know you! Comment on the blog.
Have a blessed day!
Naomi
So, it seems that there are a few common themes running through our posts, and I dare say that the most important one, besides our love for Christ is our common love for coffee. The addiction continues... I liked your post Naomi. I look forward to seeing what God has you share.
