Grounded 3.17 comes from Ephesians 3:17 - "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Consider what would happen...
We are always accessible, always interacting, always turned on.
What would happen if we turned it all off?
Matthew 6:16-18 says, "When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you"
Isn't it time we take our focus off of ourselves and turn it TO God?

Wow, I really appreciate this post Naomi. It reminds me of a sermon I heard from Dan Keinanen who asked us if we knew what it's like to just be quiet. It's a very convicting thought. I think it'd be good to be turned off for a while :)
